College Application Platforms

Coalition App

A group of approximately 90 U.S. higher education institutions dedicated to supporting all students, especially those from underrepresented groups, throughout the college application process.

Common App

The most widely used college application system today, serving approximately 900 colleges and universities worldwide, including all Ivy League schools and many top public and private schools.

Common Black
College App

Prospective students can apply to 68 Historically Black Colleges and Universities for a single $20 fee using the Common Black College App.

Individual College Website Online Application

This is a separate online application that is created and maintained by the school itself and only applies to a specific school.

Paper Application

This is a paper version of the school’s specific application.

Quest Bridge

Primarily functions as a scholarship-matching service.

Universal App

This general application is used by far fewer schools and partner with approximately two member institutions.
