MECCA is a one-stop-shop for college admissions products and services. We offer a series of in-person and virtual workshops, timely tips each week, Webcasts/Podcasts/Videocasts, TikTok Videos, YouTube Videos, Blog Feed, a MECCA Playbook/Guide for parents, and more.
MECCA was founded by Sandra McKnight in 2022 and was born out of necessity. Sandra is an Independent Educational Consultant and veteran high school teacher whose daughter, Eden, became the first-known Million Dollar Scholar in her school district in 2018. Other parents and students wanted to find more support, resources and timelines to help them successfully navigate the college admissions process step-by-step and requested Sandra’s assistance. MECCA provides parents and students with the necessary tools for successful transition from high school to college matriculation.
As a Million Dollar Mom, Sandra is thoroughly familiar with the various components and timelines of college admissions and will help prepare families by providing them with the MECCA blueprint and guidance.
Sandra is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and was named chairperson for the Phoenix Chapter – Delta Beta Omega’s education initiatives eight consecutive years. She served as the Chairperson for their signature program, #CAP (College Admissions Process), where she and her committee members assisted dozens of families with college and career coaching.
Additionally, Sandra is a Career and Technical Education teacher at her high school, where she holds certifications in English, CTE Business & Marketing, Cross-Category Special Education, and Administration/Principal. She has earned a Master of Business Administration, Master of Education with a Concentration in Special Education, and a Master of Educational Leadership.
